Crafted by skilled artisans at a historic kiln in Iga, one of Japan’s most renowned pottery regions, this authentic Iga donabe combines traditional craftsmanship with exceptional cooking performance.

Iga clay naturally contains carbonized plant matter, which burns away during firing and creates a highly porous structure. This unique characteristic allows the donabe to retain heat exceptionally well, gently cooking ingredients all the way through while preserving their natural flavors and umami. The result is a richer, more delicious hot pot experience.

All Iga-yaki donabe are handcrafted with care, making every piece unique. Slight variations in color, texture, shape, and glaze are natural characteristics of handmade pottery and are part of each donabe's individual charm. Under different lighting conditions and viewing angles, the appearance of the glaze and color may also vary slightly from the product photos.
